Friday Radiology - Chest Xray
What is the finding on the chest xray and what is thus the likely diagnosis of this patient? I'll post the chest CT on Monday. Have a good weekend all....
This may be the worst resolution yet. Anyway, his left hemidiaphragm is kind of high with a straight line along the left hemithorax. I am typically bad reading cxr's, but I will guess that he may have some collapse of his medial segment of his LLL causing elevation of his left hemidiaphragm.
I agree that the resolution is very grainy. There is loss of volume on the left with the mediastinum shifting to the left with a double-silhouete along the L heart border. There seems to be collapse of one of the LLL basal segments (medial?) but there is also a similar process in the LUL seen on the lateral, it looks like an abnormal vascular structure with perhaps an anatomic variant to the take off of central vessels.
