This is the recent post on the 79 y/o woman with a left chest mass. Jeff & Jeff made a good point about the smooth aspect and how the mass looks pleural based. Here are some of the CT images. What do you think?
The "angle" between the mass and the pleura looks acute, raising the possibility that it is extrapleural. It also looks a bit heterogeneous, and I don't see invasion of the mediastinal structures.
Still, could be a mesothelioma, a primary bronchogenic carcinoma, or other... A biopsy should be pretty easy!
