This is the patient with self-reported PCN allergy.
While waiting for the data on the Imipenem he was started on Zosyn and did very well. The organism was indeed sensitive to Imipenem and he has been switched to it and continues to tolerate it well. This is yet another good ilustration of all these self-reported allergies and how often patients get labeled with PCN allergy for life when all they had was a minor adverse reaction.

Yes. And the other thing is we should in general have a lower threshold for considering desensitization when we are in a corner regarding choice of antibiotics.
